Edible Garden (NASDAQ: EDBL) is a U.S.-based indoor farming company combining controlled-environment agriculture (CEA), zero-waste principles, and branded consumer products. Its vertically integrated model spans hydroponic greenhouses in New Jersey and Michigan, a network of local contract growers, and a growing portfolio of fresh and shelf-stable food brands.

Edible Garden products are available in 5,000+ stores nationwide, including Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, Stop & Shop, and ShopRite. The company grows USDA Organic, Non-GMO herbs and greens and has expanded into higher-margin categories such as sports nutrition (Kick.®), fermented sauces (Pulp®), and refrigerated pickles (Pickle Party™). These CPG lines aim to extend the brand’s visibility and improve unit economics beyond traditional produce.
Its infrastructure is supported by patented innovations like GreenThumb™—a farm management software system—and proprietary self-watering displays that reduce shrink and boost merchandising performance. Sustainability is a core focus: recyclable packaging, blockchain-enabled traceability, and participation in Walmart’s Project Gigaton all support the company’s ESG profile.

In Q1 2025, the company shared that non-perishable product revenue grew 15% year-over-year, while gross profit nearly quadrupled following a shift away from low-margin segments like cut flowers. The company has also acquired new assets – including environmentally friendly water treatment patents – from Fort Dodge, Iowa, U.S.A.-based NaturalShrimp for USD 12 million.
To date, Edible Garden has raised over $30 million, including a $14.7M IPO in 2022 and multiple follow-on offerings.
